Maunu is one of New Zealand’s most picturesque and well defined cemetery sites. Littoralis Landscape Architecture has assisted Whangarei District Council with the preparation of a masterplan to reinforce the strong characteristics that the cemetery already has and to provide guidance for the ongoing development of the site over the coming 50 to 100 years, including considerations of alternative burial and memorialisation practises and encouraging compatible recreational uses in this very attractive site.
