The small northland town of Kaikohe was devastated when it lost its only supermarket to fire.  Residents were needing to travel over 30km to do their weekly grocery shopping. In a bold investment, the owner commissioned Mason & Wales Architects to design a state-of-the-art replacement. Littoralis prepared plans for the planting frame for the new building, with configurations reflecting the articulation of the structure and referencing the patterns contained in precast panel elements.
